Rally in Support of Anti-Racism

June 17 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

See you all there

Hello Friends –

The Spryfield Community is proud to support the Anti-Racism movement by hosting a rally at the Captain William Spry Community Centre on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00pm.

This rally is in support of the global Anti-Racism and Black Lives Matter movement happening around our globe, while highlighting the impact of individual and systemic racism that has happened, and continues to happen, right here in Halifax. This rally is also intended to focus on how we can move forward together to make tangible changes in our homes, our community, and in our workplaces.

Racism is happening and the time for real change is now.

It is absolutely necessary that everyone come together to support our Black and Indigenous communities in this fight. We need to stand together, determine our next steps of action, and make moves that will break down barriers in our communities and our systems that are holding our brothers and sisters back.

To ensure the health and safety of all participants at the rally, everyone is asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Bring your signs, noisemakers, lawn chairs, friends and family. This is a family friendly event and you are encouraged to bring your children – they are our future.

We look forward to seeing you there.
